Ms. Linxiu Zhang

Ms. Zhang is leading the implementation of a UNEP flagship programme focusing on the nexus of climate, ecosystems and livelihoods (CEL) through South-South cooperation. Prior to joining UNEP, she had more than 30 years of policy research experience covering areas of rural development — especially on employment and migration, land tenure, public goods and services provision, poverty alleviation and sustainable livelihoods, climate change adaptation and gender.

Ms. Zhang holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Reading (U.K.). She is also a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS).
